Objective:

The objective of this bid is to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced B-BBEE verification service provider to review, verify, and validate the audit process in accordance with the provisions of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act 53 of 2003 and related legislation. The appointed service provider is expected to provide the following:

1. B-BBEE Verification status and recognition level for the following three (3) companies:
   1. 1.1 Icebolethu Funerals (Pty) Ltd,
   2. 1.2 Icebolethu Burials (Pty) Ltd, and
   3. 1.3 Icebolethu Group (Pty) Ltd.
2. A SANAS accredited B-BBEE certificate and scorecard report.
3. Preferential Supplier Verification services, highlighting all dominant suppliers contributing the most to your B-BBEE Scorecard.
4. Detailed Management report highlighting high performing B-BBEE scorecard elements to be maintained, and areas of focus for future improvement.

The prospective service provider must indicate if they have previously provided similar services with other companies of the same size as the Icebolethu Group.

Scope of B-BBEE verification:

The successful service provider will provide B-BBEE verification services to the Icebolethu Group.

The service provider will be expected to deliver amongst others the following key requirements:

3.1 Provide a final report with recommendations to management and Audit and Risk Committee.

Evaluation Criteria

Bids that do not achieve phase 1 mandatory requirements will not be evaluated further.

Phase 1: Mandatory requirements

The service provider must supply the following information upon submission of its proposal:

1. Proof of company registration.
2. Valid SARS tax pin / tax clearance certificate.
3. Valid BBBEE Certification/ Affidavit.
4. Company Profile.
5. The service provider is required to have an office in Durban or surrounds. Proof of geographic representation to be submitted with the proposal.
6. The pricing and costing schedule as per Annexure A.

The minimum qualifying score is 70 points (out of 100). Bids that do not achieve the minimum score of 70 for functionality will not be evaluated further.
