In the unfortunate event of death, Icebolethu Funerals SADC Plan provides burial and repatriation cover that accompanies you and your loved ones home with care, pride and peace with up to R100,000 payout.
Who is covered?
We understand that living and working away from your loved ones can be difficult. Your family shouldn’t also worry about the funeral expenses of getting you back home in the unfortunate, but certain event of death.
1. Single Member
Insures one life, up to the age of 99 years.
2. Single parent
Insures up to 6 lives, 1 life of up to 84 years and up to 5 children (under the age of 21).
3. A family
Insures up to 7 lives, A couple under 65 and up to 5 children (under the age of 21).

Waiting periods and exclusions.
Waiting periods and exclusions.
Except for accidental deaths, no claims will be paid if the death occurs during the following waiting periods (calculated from payment of the first premium, or commencement of the lapsed policy):
- 1.1. For death due to natural causes (0-64), there is a waiting period of 3 months.
- 1.2. From death due to natural causes (65-84), there is a waiting period of 6 months.will be processed upon submission of supporting documentation.
- 1.3. For death due to natural causes (85-99) there is a waiting list of 12(twelve) months.
- 1.4. For death due to suicide, there is a 24(twenty-four) month waiting period.
- 2. A claim will be rejected if the claim is in any respect fraudulent or of fraudulent means or false information was used to benefit from the cover granted.
- 3. This product does not cover the death of a principal member/ spouse if the death occurs outside the borders of South Africa. Extended members and children can be covered if in South Africa or countries of citizenship up to a maximum of R40 000. All claims will be processed upon submission of supporting documentation.
Cancelling Policies
Policies can only be canceled by the Main Member by sending an email to corporate@icebolethu.co.za. If a policy is cancelled within the first 20 days (cooling- off period) of receiving policy documents, Icebolethu Group will refund any premium paid.
