HUMAN RIGHTS – A WAY OF LIFE

Whether we are at the workplace, within communities, at schools, or with our families and friends, human rights play a pivotal role in our daily lives. We join millions of South Africans in celebrating this iconic day that remembers the brave heroes and heroines who fought relentlessly for the human rights of all South Africans during the Sharpeville massacre. Though this day reminds us of a horrific regime in our history, we salute the evolution of our human rights over the years.

Icebolethu Group wishes all South Africans a happy and peaceful Human Rights Day and encourages all communities to live by the values of this day through acting with dignity, fairness, equality, respect, and independence. These values are defined and protected by law and ought to be enjoyed by all South Africans.

Our company ethos embodies human rights as we believe in fairness and equality as an organisation. We strive to provide an inclusive work environment, that allows for freedom of expression and empowers all employees. This way of work is cascaded from executive level to our general assistants. Our greatest assets are the thousands of men and women who wake up daily to serve the communities in which we operate. We salute all South Africans who do the same in their own space and motivate them to continue as this responsibility will propel our beautiful country forward. We call on all South Africans to use Human Rights Month to foster greater social cohesion, nation-building, and a shared national identity.
