We are seeking a Systems Analyst to analyse, design, and implement information systems that align business requirements with ICT solutions. Acting as the core bridge between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams, this role ensures our systems are efficient, secure, and scalable to support the Group's operational objectives. This role will be based at our Durban offices within the Group ICT Department a Division of Icebolethu Group.
Minimum Qualifications.
- Matric (Grade 12) essential
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field is highly advantageous
- Industry certifications (e.g., CBAP, ITIL, CompTIA Network+) are a plus
Experience and Knowledge required
- 3–5 years of proven experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or a closely related IT role.
- Demonstrated success delivering scalable IT system configurations and solutions in a professional corporate environment.
- Hands-on experience with workflow management tools like JIRA or Trello is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies required
- Systems Analysis & Design: Advanced capability in translating business processes into functional, technical specifications, data models, and system architectures
- SDLC & Methodologies: Practical knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks
- Technical & Modelling Tools: Proficient in database querying (SQL) and process modelling software (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart)
- Enterprise Architecture: Familiarity with complex enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM) and foundational integration technologies
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate cross-functional alignment between developers, business units, and external vendors
Key Performance Areas:
BI Development & Dashboard Management
- Gather, document, and validate business and operational requirements from key internal stakeholders
- Convert business processes into clear functional specifications, system architecture designs, and data models
- Evaluate and recommend tailored system adjustments that integrate smoothly with existing Group ICT infrastructure
Implementation, Testing & Automation
- Support technical teams throughout application development, system configuration, and deployment phases.
- Validate that new and modified solutions meet performance targets, cybersecurity standards, and legal compliance frameworks.
- Identify operational bottlenecks to introduce automation, while maintaining strict system change and version controls.
User Support, Documentation & Collaboration
- Oversee post-implementation support, data integrity checks, and user training to drive system adoption.
- Create and update technical documentation for system structures, workflows, and infrastructure integrations.
- Act as the lead liaison between developer teams, data analysts, operational business units, and external vendors.
