Responsibilities include:
• Management and Oversight of:
▪ Statutory obligations of the FSP;
▪ Rendering of financial services of the FSP and persons authorised to act on its behalf;
▪ Business processes and operational ability.
▪ Instil a culture of treating customers fairly in all aspects of the business
• Ensure compliance by all authorised persons with the General Code of Conduct and any other applicable Codes of Conduct, which duty should not be taken lightly.
• Ongoing compliance with the fit and proper requirements. A process should be implemented to check-in on a regular basis with Area Managers, Field Agents, Branch Supervisors, and Consultants to make sure that they are on track or have already met the requirements. Regional Managers need to know the status of those acting for the FSP including their honesty and integrity.
• Adhere to processes of expenditure and authorization of company funds forArea Managers, and BranchSupervisors rests with the Regional Manager. This will require working closely with Managing Executive(ME) and the Finance team.
• Report on the activities of Area Managers and Branch Supervisors who are responsible for Field Agents, and Consultants appointed under supervision. Regional Managers are members of MANCO which meets on a regular basis for strategizing and reporting.
• Regional Managers are called upon to show operational ability, then adequate record keeping will be necessary to substantiate the processes which have been followed.
• Monitor and participate in Burial functions, processes and meetings.
• Work closely with the Burial Unit Head.
• Drive sales levels at Boxer kiosks,branches, and the field, and must develop a viable strategy for each.
Qualifications required for the position:
• Grade 12
• 5 – 10 years’ experience in Financialservices
• 3-5 years’ Experience in Management position
• Business Management, Marketing, or related tertiary qualification
• Clear ITC
• Clear criminal record
• Own reliable transport and cell phone
• RE–5 or RE-1 Qualification will be an advantage
Experience required for the position:
• Have proven success in the Marketing of Life Assurance experience
• Financial advice and intermediary services
Skills required for the position:
• Must have good communication skills
• Computer skills
• Administration skills
