Icebolethu Group, South Africa’s leading provider of dignified burial solutions, has an opening for a dedicated and experienced Regional Cleaning Supervisor to be based at Gauteng, Ilembe, Umkhanyakude, Ugu&Harry Gwala, Uthukela.
The Regional Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of cleaning staff across assigned regions to ensure high-quality, efficient, and safe cleaning services. This role involves developing cleaning schedules, conducting inspections, managing supplies and equipment, training staff, and ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Supervise, coach, and manage the daily schedules, attendance, and task assignments of regional cleaning staff.
- Oversee cleaning operations and conduct regular facility inspections to ensure compliance with quality and hygiene standards.
- Manage inventory, maintenance, and procurement requests for all regional cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment.
- Enforce health and safety protocols, including correct PPE usage, safe chemical handling, and immediate hazard reporting.
- Resolve cleaning service complaints and liaise with management and facility users to ensure client satisfaction.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership, team management, and conflict resolution skills.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical materials.
- Clear understanding of occupational health, safety, and hygiene standards (OHS).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and quality assurance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Certificate or Diploma in Cleaning Management, Facilities Management, or a related field (Advantageous).
- Formal training in Occupational Health & Safety (Advantageous).
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a dedicated cleaning supervisory or management role.
- Proven track record of managing cleaning teams within corporate, industrial, or hospitality environments.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing cleaning schedules, managing stock control, and supervising chemical usage.
