Job Purpose
The Travel Consultant is responsible for delivering exceptional travel services and customer support. The role involves advising clients, managing bookings, and liaising with suppliers to provide tailored travel solutions, ensuring a seamless and memorable travel experience.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service and Sales Support:
• Respond to client enquiries telephonically and via email
• Acknowledge and respond to all online travel queries with SLA
• Ascertain client needs and recommend suitable travel products and services
• Provide VIP service and professional travel advice at all times
Booking and Reservations Management:
• Manage bookings using Amadeus GDS including pre-seating, special meals, and other travel requirements.
• Liaise with airlines, hotels, and other suppliers to secure best deals and packages
• Ensure all booking are confirmed, documented, and accurately captured in client files.
• Advise clients of travel conditions, fare rules, and terms and conditions.
Documentation and Compliance:
• Ensure all travel documentation is issued on time (invoices, tickets, itineraries).
• Update client booking files with accurate and complete details
• Comply with company and supplier policies, travel regulations, and terms of service.
Marketing and Sales Initiatives:
• Support the marketing team in promoting travel packages and campaigns
• Proactively upsell and cross-sell additional trave products and services.

Qualifications
• National Diploma or Degree in Travel/Tourism
• Valid Amadeus GDS certificate (attached to the application)
Experience
• Minimum 3 years’ Amadeus GDS Experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a travel agency environment
• Proven sales and marketing skills in a travel setting
Working Conditions
• Office -based with occasional travel (supplier meetings, client visits, events)
• Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Extended hours may be required during peak periods or operational emergencies
