We are calling for suitable candidates to apply for the position of a Food Service Assistant for our VariousKitchens. The incumbent will be required to perform tasks supporting the Catering Department. Please note that this is both an Internal and external advert, thus applies to Fixed Term Contracts, Casual staff and external possible candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
• Grade 12
• Relevant qualification in the Hospitality / Catering sector or studying towards a hospitality qualification is strongly recommended
Experience and Knowledge required
• Minimum of 12 Months in the catering sector
• Food Service Regulations
Skills and Competencies required
• Must enjoy practical and methodical work
• Maturity and Reliability
• Be honest and trustworthy
• Have good hand-eye coordination
• Be able to work quickly and safely
• Have good personal hygiene
• Be free from skin allergies to foods and detergents
• Willingness to be flexible as job dictates
Key Performance Areas
• To ensure a high level of customer service within the area of responsibility
• To complete all the required check lists
• Perform related work as assigned
• To ensure that all the catering equipment is taken care of and the premises are left hygienically clean and tidy at the end of the shift.
• To report any Client Complaint or comments to the Team leader
• To carry out any reasonable request from any member of the Management team.
• To research and keep up with catering trends to promote competitive catering services
• To assist in preparation and cooking of meals.
• To ensure that the Company &statutory regulations regarding cleanliness &hygiene are complied with within all tasks undertaken
