We are seeking a highly organized and commercially minded Facilities Officer to be based in KZN. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management, coordination, and maintenance of all company-owned and leased facilities within your allocated region, ensuring that all buildings, infrastructure, and facility services remain safe, compliant, cost-effective, and fully operational to support business continuity.

Facilities Operations & Maintenance: Manage day-to-day regional operations; execute preventative and reactive maintenance schedules across Mortuaries, FSP Branches, Fleet, and Warehouse facilities to minimize operational downtime.

Contractor & Financial Management: Source quotations, manage budgets, track expenditures, oversee on-site contractors, and verify the quality of completed work before authorising payments.

Lease & Asset Management: Administer property lease agreements, manage landlord maintenance obligations, perform condition assessments, and maintain highly accurate regional facilities asset registers.

Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict statutory compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, coordinate safety inspections, audit actions, and manage physical security infrastructure (CCTV, alarms, and access control).

Utilities, Housekeeping & Projects: Monitor and optimize water and electricity consumption, oversee cleaning and hygiene service level agreements (SLAs), and project-manage minor capital renovations and refurbishments.

Stakeholder Management: Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills to effectively liaise with internal executives, landlords, municipalities, and external regulatory authorities.

Grade 12 (Matric).

National Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Property, Building, Construction Management, or Engineering.

Minimum 5 years' experience in Facilities Management overseeing multiple sites across varied geographical locations.

Proven experience in contractor management, budget administration, procurement, lease administration, and minor project management.

Valid Code B Driver's Licence and willingness to travel extensively and attend to after-hours standby emergencies.

Project Management or Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) qualifications will be an added advantage.
