Icebolethu Catering was established as means to relieve the grieving family of the added pressure of ensuring that all the guests are taken care of as our teams serve with passion and dedication.

We are calling for suitable candidates to apply for the position of the Catering Team Leader for FouwaysKitchen. The incumbent will be required to perform tasks supporting the Catering Department.

Please note that this is both an Internal and external advert, thus applies to Fixed Term Contracts, Casual staff and external possible candidates

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Relevant qualification in the Hospitality or Catering sector
• NQF level 5

Experience and Knowledge required

• 24 Months in the Catering Sector
• 12 Months in a supervisory role
• Driver’s License

Skills and Competencies required

• Computer Literacy in Ms Office Suite.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Work as a team player
• Ability to organize oneself and the catering team
• Prioritise tasks and maintain standards in the event of absences
• Identifies and rectifies problems as they occur
• Communicate potential problems
• Exhibits characteristics of team spirit, service spirit and progress spirit
• Good interpersonal skills enabling good relations with Customers, Colleagues and clients.
• Good communication skills
• Enthusiasm for the food service industry
• Enthusiasm and willingness to accept additional training
• Physically able to carry out the role including manual handling
• Willingness to be flexible as job tasks dictates
• Proficiency and ability to meet deadlines and complete the job within budge

Key Performance Areas

• Excellent customer service - Attending and resolving all clients / customer queries in accordance with Service Level Agreement
• Staff Management - Coach, guide and mentor staff
• Identify and develop remedial plans to address negative floor sentiment.
• Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, systems and processes.
• Risk Register - Address and take corrective measures on all identified Risks, Collect and provide data required for various audits.
• Ensure staff compliance on PPE and Health and Safety Policies.
• To complete all the required checklists and to ensure that all staff is fully prepared for the meal services.
• To ensure that all the catering equipment is taken care of and the premises are left hygienically clean and tidy at the end of the shift.
• To liaise closely with subordinates and Catering Manager regarding Menus, shift roster, preparations for caterings
• To report any Client Complaint or comments to the Catering Manager
• To carry out any reasonable request from any member of the Management team.
• To research and keep up with catering trends to promote competitive catering services

• We are situated in Fourways, Hence Incumbents should live in the area.
• However, due to the nature of the business, successful candidates may be required to travel.
