Terms of office and remuneration: The term of office of the appointed candidate will be 3 years, and maybe renewed for another 3 years subject to satisfactory performance, or at the discretion of Board of Directors of Icebolethu Group (Pty) Ltd.
An approximate number of meetings is four per annum (four ordinary and any special meetings if necessary).
Successful candidates appointed will be remunerated according to the rates as approved by the Board of Directors of Icebolethu Group (Pty) Ltd.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business and Finance or related field
- Experience at the Senior Management level in the Funeral Service Provider and / or Financial Services industry as well as the knowledge on the legislation that governs them.
- Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate risk and compliance expertise , has experience in participating in governance structures, the ability to dedicate time to the activities of the Audit and Risk Committee, and industry-based experience for Icebolethu Group
- Interested candidates must be independent non-executives and may not have business interests or dealings with Icebolethu Group (Pty) Ltd.
Responsibilities:
- Interested applicants meeting the requirements will operate in accordance with an approved Audit and Risk Committee terms of reference, and review and make recommendations to the executive on the adequacy and effectiveness of Internal and External Audit, Internal Controls, Risk Management, Governance (including IT Governance), Financial Management, Financial and Non-Financial.
- Reporting, and Compliance with Laws and Regulations.
