Icebolethu Security is currently in search of suitable candidates to fill the position of aClose Protection Security Officer. The position is available on a Permanent basis within the Security company of Icebolethu Group.
Icebolethu Group is looking for a competent Close Protection Officer to monitor, safe guard and undertake the surveillance a VVIP Principle and protection of our executives, resources and equipment.
An incumbent will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventingharm, interruptions and threats to our VVIP and Executives as well as any other criminal activities.
A CPO must be well-trained in Principle Protection, surveillance early threat detection and avoidance while upholding the standards of the Principles Social Standing.
The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The ideal candidate will help the company in maintaining excellent workingprotocol and high standard of Protection.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Matric
• PSIRA registered - Grade C, B or A
• Driver’s License – Valid and Held for more than 5 years
• Fire-arm Business Competency for handgun / Shotgun / Rifle
• Advanced Driver competency (Range Rover)
• Regulation 21 certification.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) is Advantageous
• Well Spoken and good Hygiene.
Experience, Skills and Competencies required:
• 2 years minimum experience as a CPO - Protector
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for Bodyguard Industry and public safety
• Report writing skills
Situational Awareness vigilance (Good Eyesight)
• Risk Assessment (Detail Orientation)
• Tactical Planning Risk Management
• Quick Reflexes Combat Training
• Discipline Knowledge of protocol
• Physical health and fitness
• Strong and clear Communication Skills and Team Coordination
• Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems and Communication Equipment.
• Trained in First Aid/BLS
• Trained in self-defense
Key Performance Areas
• Providing immediate response to threats or emergencies, including evacuation procedures.
• Safely transporting the principal, including route planning and vehicle security.
• Analyzing potential threats and providing advice on security measures.
• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
• Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
