Icebolethu Group is seeking a vigilant, authoritative, and professional Security Guards to safeguard our premises, employees, visitors, assets, and equipment in Umkomaas. The ideal candidates will maintain a strong, visible security presence, conduct active surveillance, detect suspicious behavior, and prevent vandalism, theft, or criminal activities to ensure a safe work environment.
- Access Control & Patrols: Monitor and authorize entry/exit for visitors and vehicles. Conduct regular foot patrols to maintain order and secure all exits, doors, and windows post-operations.
- Surveillance & Monitoring: Check CCTV systems and operate communication equipment to proactively identify security breaches, disruptions, or unlawful acts.
- Incident Response & Investigation: Respond rapidly to alarms, investigate suspicious individuals or activities, assist people in distress, and handle security situations calmly and effectively.
- Apprehension & Ejection: Remove trespassers from the premises and detain perpetrators in accordance with legal protocols until law enforcement arrives.
- Reporting & Administration: Maintain daily logs of surveillance activities, log occurrences, and write clear, accurate incident reports for management.
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric essential.
- Certification: Valid PSIRA registration/certification.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Security Guard or Security Officer.
- Technical Skills: Tech-savvy with practical experience operating surveillance systems (CCTV) and security communication equipment.
- Physical & Tactical Training: Physical health and fitness; certified in Self-Defense and First Aid / Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Firearms & Driving (Advantageous): Valid Firearm Competency (Handgun, Shotgun, or Rifle) and Advanced/Defensive driving skills are highly advantageous.
- Core Competencies: Strong observation skills, legal knowledge of area security/public safety protocols, solid report-writing abilities, and excellent verbal communication.

- Vetting: Candidates will undergo background checks, including criminal record, employment reference, and credit checks.
