Human Resources Development Officer X2
Description

The Group Human Resources Department is seeking qualified and results-driven Human Resources Development Officers based at our Head Office in Durban. The successful candidates will design, facilitate, and implement training interventions and skills development strategies that support overall business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Program & Curriculum Development: Plan, design, and deliver tailored learning programs and standardized course materials aligned with organizational framework requirements and skills development priorities.

  • Facilitation & Training Delivery: Conduct functional learning interventions across diverse target audiences using a variety of interactive delivery methodologies.

  • Assessment & Evaluation: Create integrated evaluation metrics to measure training effectiveness, skills transfer, and overall organizational impact.

  • Learner Coaching & Support: Identify learner needs, assess performance, resolve learning obstacles, and provide ongoing mentorship to ensure achievement of required competencies.

  • Foundational & Multi-Skilling Delivery: Facilitate core workplace training, including standardized work protocols, on-the-job assessments, multi-skilling, and problem-solving workshops.

  • Stakeholder Consultation: Partner with management and operational teams across all departments to guide the implementation and integration of HRD processes.

  • Learning Innovation: Conceptualize and integrate new digital tools and modern methodologies into traditional training frameworks.

Qualifications
  • Education: Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources / HRD (NQF Level 7 or equivalent).

  • Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated experience in instructional design, workplace training, and development facilitation.

  • Mandatory Accreditations: Must be accredited to facilitate/assess the following:

    • Office Supervision Qualifications

    • Culinary / Chef Qualifications

    • Mortician / Mortuary Science Qualifications

  • Key Skills: Advanced MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), exceptional facilitation/presentation abilities, high-level data analysis, and strong critical thinking.
