Description

Icebolethu Group is currently in search of X2 Cleaners within the Cleaning Department, to be based at our East London branch. The successful incumbents will be required to maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene that align with the Icebolethu brand identity, ensuring a safe, orderly, and dignified environment for our staff, clients, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in cleaning Icebolethu premises including offices, kitchens, lavatories, and communal areas.
  • Mop tiled floors, vacuum carpets, and wipe down surfaces such as tables, worktops, and appliances.
  • Empty and sanitize waste bins, ensuring the correct handling of recyclable and general waste.
  • Safely operate cleaning machinery according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Clean and store equipment in proper locations after use.
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning consumables and report replenishment needs to the supervisor.
  • Uphold hygiene standards aligned with Icebolethu’s quality expectations and safety protocols.
  • Ensure appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Display appropriate signage when cleaning wet areas to prevent accidents.
  • Maintain professional conduct when interacting with staff and visitors, responding promptly to urgent cleaning needs.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
  • Training or certification in safety and commercial cleaning/gardening best practices will be highly beneficial.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ professional experience in a the role, preferably within an office or commercial corporate environment.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning techniques, chemical dilution safety, and general hazard prevention.
  • Knowledge of the correct handling and storage of industrial cleaning machinery and equipment.
