Icebolethu Group is currently in search of a Permanent Social Media Coordinator within the Marketing & Communications Department, a Division of Icebolethu Group to be based at the Johannesburg regional office. The successful incumbent will be required to manage Icebolethu Group’s social media platforms to drive brand visibility, engagement, and lead generation, focusing on non-core business units (Catering, UK, Foundation, i-Mobile, and Memorials) by creating community-driven content.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Diploma / Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–4 years’ active social media management experience.
• Proficiency in content creation tools (Canva/Adobe), video editing, and social media analytics.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Proven experience managing multiple corporate brands or distinct social media pages simultaneously (highly advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of digital platform optimization, posting schedules, and algorithm mechanics.
• Experience in planning, executing, and optimizing organic social media campaigns to drive lead generation and brand awareness.
• Clear understanding of community management workflows, customer query escalation, and brand voice guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive monthly content plans and schedules aligned to broader corporate campaigns.
• Create highly engaging visual and written content, including graphics, short-form video, and compelling copy.
• Drive the digital presence, engagement, and lead generation performance for non-core units: Catering, UK, Foundation, i-Mobile, and Memorials.
• Coordinate with regional branches and teams to source content, manage submissions, and enforce national brand standards.
• Actively manage communities by responding to comments, messages, and queries in a professional, empathetic tone.
• Escalate sensitive customer care issues identified on digital channels to the relevant internal resolution teams.
• Support active marketing campaigns, promotions, PR activities, live events, and brand ambassador initiatives.
• Track platform metrics, compile detailed monthly performance reports per business unit, and optimize content based on data insights.
