The General Manager: Supply Chain Management role develops the strategic direction for all supply chain activities at Icebolethu Group, to ensure effective cost beneficial supply, quality products and efficient services delivery, whilst observing good governance, legal and regulatory compliance needs for the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Supply Chain Management function.
• Lead the review and revision of SCM policies.
• Implement a suitable SCM system to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Plan, articulate and create focus around the medium- and long-term strategic direction for the overall programme of strategic sourcing.
• Monitor the consolidated achievement of strategic and tactical sourcing objectives and formulate plans for corrective action, if required.
• Develop inventory management and planning strategies.
• Ensure availability of competitive quality goods to support operations.
• Monitor and correct the inventory levels across Icebolethu Group of Companies.
• Develop and implement the Enterprise and Supplier Development strategy.
• Defines supplier performance measures and monitors supplier performance and ensures proactive action where measures are not met.
• Plan and coordinate the annual SCM budget and Icebolethu Group procurement plan.
• Develop, administer, and control the SCM budget.

The following minimum requirements should be met to be considered:

• Bachelor’s degree in the Supply Chain Management field.
• Registration with a recognized professional body such as CIPS, SAPICS, etc.
• Ten years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in the financial services or industries, and five of which at senior management level.
• Proven experience in strategy and business development.
• Strategic and visionary skills.
• Project management and planning skills, ability to facilitate multi-disciplinary projects at any given time.
• Stakeholder relations skills.
• Coaching and mentorship skills
• People management skills.
